Live-Action Anime Done Right

Well, leave it to Japan to come up with an idea so crazy, it's just plan awesome. Gundams are a staple in mech-lore, known pretty much around the world as an iconic figurine. To commemorate Gundam Mobile Suits 30th anniversary, a project was commissioned to build a life-size, 1/1 scale mobile suit that towers over Obaiba's Shiokaze Park in Tokyo, Japan. "Operation V" was a success and the result is no less than stunning. This 59-foot metal suit is the pinnacle of when two worlds collide, taking a scene from the franchise and meshing it with real world. If only we could get a life size Megazord or Optimus Prime hovering over Central Park. One can dream right?
